I’m still happy with my purchase, but if I would’ve known, I can ask the dealer to cut me a check and go pay off the little bit that I owe because honestly all I needed to do is wait one more month and I would’ve had all the money, but I didn’t want this specific Car to get taken off the lot, but this information was very very useful for in the future

Another helpful video, Ari. My 39 month lease was ending in June. Due to low mileage I had significant positive equity. I also looked up the value online and against comps on dealer lots. It took numerous visits to different dealers, but I finally found one willing to give me the market value. It was a 2 month process, so give yourself time 😅. Also, at least here in Canada, the Nissan dealers wanted to charge me $1000 to process the lease turn-in if I was not going to get a new car with them. I found out I could arrange to end or buy-out the lease directly with Nissan Canada and there was no fee required!

I used to be a bmw salesperson. They automatically take 10% off, 8500 cash rebate on i4 and 10k cash rebate on iX in March 2024 which may have changed. The cars are good as long as you have the 2 years free charging through electrify america.

As a former car salesperson, I will never, ever sit foot in a regular "haggling" dealership, playing their deceptive, humiliating games.

Wouldn’t you be better off just keeping the car and paying more towards principal over 3 years. The negative equity doesn’t go away .you still have to pay it. Negative equity is only a problem if you don’t have money, which in that case you shouldn’t get a new car at all.

If you can get $3000 or more off of MSRP on a Camry, then you would be nuts not to buy. Forget leasing. This is arguably the most reliable vehicle ever mass produced. That 2.5 naturally aspirated engine is bullet proof and the gas mileage is ridiculous (40+ per gallon). People routinely put over 200,000 miles on these things with routine maintenance.

Been Toyota fans for many years owning 2 Sequioa's, 2 older 5.7 Tundra's & 2 4runners all retired in the mjr repair free 200k miles. BUT frames rusted badly. We now have a 24 Limited 5600 miles & a 24 Plat Hybrid (paid $65k) 1750miles, 19.7 mpg around town.. We pay cash but 100% Sect. 179 them against business earned income. Big improvement from the days of my old 12mpg 5.7 tundra's. However, Bearing failures being reported on the 24's have me thinking of unloading them before the warranties expire.

I traded in my car with about 2800 negative equity. Then the dealership never paid it out for over a month and I got charged two additional finance payments on the car I no longer owned. I called them after the first charge and the manager told me “it must be a check in the mail issue. Let me call you back.” Then never called me back. When I got charged a second payment, I went there in person and went off on them. It got paid very quickly after that and I was refunded my two payments. These guys are scumbags and are pulling out all of the old tricks with their desperation in the current car market apocalypse.

I wish Toyota would produce more Corollas. Here in Dallas, new 2024 Toyota Corollas are still being sold with dealer markup and forced pre-installed accessories. I spent 3 hours negotiating price at a Dallas Toyota dealership today for a new 2024 Toyota Corolla LE gasoline sedan. I brought the price down from 28k out the door to 26k out the door but they refused to bring it down further and let me walk away!

I would NEVER buy a Hyundai over a Honda or Toyota.

There is no point in buying hybrid before they fix cablegate issues. And year 2025 is when this happens. When you buy a hybrid, you will pay more for your insurance ans you will pay for cable corrosion at least once.

Houston area. Got a quote for Hybrid Max limited MSRP$70k lol. Had $10k mark up. I said too expensive, take it off and mark up was taken off immediately. So I believe mark ups are there but since market is bit slower, they only left it there to apply it to people who doesn't know how to look at the detailed price. And few things-interior feels cheap can't tell if I can justify $50k price. IIHS crash test wasn't good. Seems to have few issues
